VITORIA STONE FAIR 2007, the 23rd international marble and granite fair is scheduled to be held from February 6 ?C 9, 2007 at Espirito Santo, Brazil. Taking place for the fifth time in Vitoria, Brazil. Vitoria Stone Fair has become one of the world's major international fairs of its kind, offering the latest in stone materiials and machinery as well as the opportunity to visit the multitude of stone working plants in the region.
The event is actually the 22nd of its kind organised by Milaneze & Milaneze, but only the fifth taking place in Vitoria, the capital city of Espirito Santo, which is a major stone working centre exporting material around the world. Since moving Vitoria, the fair has become one of the major international stone events worldwide.
Today VITORIA STONE FAIR has become the best opportunity for the best display of the diversity of Brazilian stones. Marble and granite companies are preparing to launch new types of stones and products thereof at VITORIA STONE FAIR 2007, in order to reach the demands mainly from international buyers, which are used to find at the event a great variety of ornamental stones not yet available at the market. The fair will be a reference on the Brazilian capacity to offer new material.
Along with the launching in terms of stones, it is possible to find at the fair a large variety of products and services, which goes from new technologies up to new finishing ways, cuts, market trends and logistics, reaching the entire networks for the commericalisation of your products.
Each year, exhibitors at VITORIA STONE FAIR use the event as a platform to introduce the latest materials in the market along with traditional shades. At VITORIA STONE FAIR 2006 held in February, 2006 there were more than 300 different stone varieties on display. A large number of foreign visitors from US - 989, Itlay - 228 and Spain - 114 witnessed the fair. It was 700 more than last year. The fair has been hosting increased number of visitors for the last four events.
VITORIA STONE FAIR 2006 again received great response from the exhibitors who came in large numbers from home states and other countries. The exhibition area was extended and the pavilions were air conditioned.
The other highlights of the fair were some good lecture sessions organised during the fair, which were attended by about 450 people. Gary Distelhorst spoke on "The United States Stone Market : Growth Opportunities for Brazilian Suppliers."
Today Brazil is enjoying a phenomenal rise in its exports of granite to US. According to US customs date, export of granite from Brazil to US was US $ 365.7 million approximatley in 2005. It was 33 per cent more over 2004, which placed Brazil well ahead of any nation in terms of granite exports to the US.
Keeping an eye on Brazil's great potential in the stone sector, VITORIA STONE FAIR 2007 is expected to receive company owners, professionals, representatives of various companies and associations.
The thirty five thousand square meter area will be the showcase of hundreds of varieties of stones as well as stone related machines, tools and services, making VITORIA STONE FAIR 2007 the largest event of the stone industry in Latin America.
VITORIA STONE FAIR 2007 aims not only at showing the diversity of Brazilian ornamental stones but also aims at encouraging their use. The fair is designed to create a space for the realisation of business and partnerships, to make new technologies known through the exhibition of machinery, looks and new processing methods and managements, to promote the sector marketing in Brazil and abroad and to increase exports, specially of finished products with higher aggregate values.
