Export Structure of Stone in Fujian Notably Improves Under the New Tax Rebute Policy
According to the Fuzhou Customs, in the first half of 2007, the export of stone reached 4.16 million tons, values 904 million dollars, with an increase of 18.9% and 23.3% compared with the same period in last year.
It is reported that from the 15th September 2006, when China canceled tax rebate for common stone products, remaining only for high adding value stone products such as grave and stone carving, the export of Fujian stone generally continues to grow fast, while the exporting construction improved evidently: stone that has been listed for canceling tax rebate accounts much less than before, while the others account much more.
The export of stone that has been canceled tax rebate is 1.61 million tons, decreasing 50%, accounts for 38.7%(93% for last year). And the export of stone that still enjoy the tax rebate policy is 2.55 million tons, 10.5 times that of last year, accounts for 61% of the total amount.
According to the official of Fujian Customery, the governemtn again adjust the tax rebate policy of stone products, part of the products unaffected under the policy last year were included in this July's new policy in which the tax rebate rate decreased 8 points, that makes it 5%. The volumn of export stone concerned under this policy is 2.519 million tons, 91.9% increase from last year, accounts for 60% of the total stone products.
